More polka dots please…

Hello Spring,

It’s been quite a while and I originally decided to apologize for not posting but honestly, I have been living life and busy and I am not sorry for that. My married life has taken over and it’s been great. I’ll work on more posts about wedding planning and honeymoon planning soon.

Today, I wanted to share a favorite look of mine. This simple polka dot jumpsuit that transitions from fall to spring so well. I’ve linked everything below!

I’ve paired it here with a more winter hat because it’s wool and pom poms like these just remind me more of colder months. It would be super cute paired with a fun Panama hat. Also, I’ve paired it with a fall bootie. An awesome pair of clear studded sandals or wedges would look great too!!

This last pic shows it more as a fall look for my girls lucky to live in those colder states! Ps. Have you tried rolled ice cream before???? It’s amazing!! this was the first day I have ever heard of it and let me tell you the obsession is real!

This navy midi skirt is a must. I was scrolling through insta the other day when a forever 21 add popped up… I was going to pass it by thinking I had outgrown the store but man am I happy this skirt caught my eye. It’s part of there contemporary line. So many amazing affordable pieces. I’ve linked my skirt and shirt below… best part this whole look is under $30 on sale!

I love the flow of this skirt. Flattering for any body type and a versatile piece. You can add a white blazer and nude pumps and head to work (great for drinks after), wear how. I’ve shown it for a wedding festivity, throw on a graphic tee and sneaks for a fun casual look, or flats and a denim jacket with cotton tank for a lunch meet up. The options are endless!

I decided to go classic and vintage with some pearl bracelets and a big pair of navy shades! I’ve linked my bracelet below (I’m wearing 2 and a thinner one) and similar sunnies!

If you haven’t gotten into the midi skirt trend… there’s no time better to start then now! And if you’ve given up in forever21 give their site another look. I ordered a bulk order got a ton of great looks for under $200!! Don’t worry I’ll share them all here on the blog ūüėČ.

Happy almost Friday!

Some spanx and a cold shoulder…

Hey girl hey,

Is anyone else crushing this Thursday? Thursday are my craziest day… I typically see about 10 clients, cook, clean, and do some laundry, oh and on a good day workout! I’m super excited to head to the SFL Girl Gang mixer tonight to meet with other local bloggers. Check IG stories for some pics during that.

While I have a break I thought I’d share this fun look with you.

I cored this cold shoulder top during Nordstrom anniversary sale and I’m sorry to say its all sold out. Obviously, I made sure to find you guys some other similar options. I think they’re pretty cute, too!

I know I’ve shared my obsession with¬†Spanx, but seriously if you don’t have a pair invest in one. I haven’t been brave enough to try another color other then black and the black motto but that copper pair is calling my name. My 21 year old self would’ve been all over them!

My boots have also been of favorite of mine, I’m actually wearing them right now. I love velvet so when I saw the black velvet option of these were on sale I snagged them and luckily for you they are still ins tock! Here’s the link: Marc Fisher over the knee boots – Velvet¬†

I have been incorporating statement earring more, especially with outfits that are black and white or base colors. I’ve linked my Earrings for you. Great buy also from DSW! My sunglasses are Henri Bendel, but are no longer available, so I found a similar pair for you here by Quay.

Anyone else share my Spanx obsession???

NYE, cocktail parties, and a lace dress…

I originally thought this post went up last week, but some how it seemed to get deleted. So I apologize for the short post, just wanted to get this look out to you guys before New Years!

This lace dress is available at liliac and lilies boutique. I love the nude slip underneath, it really makes the lace stand out. For those that aren’t local I have linked some similar styles below.

Bloomingdales lace

Amazon lace off the shoulder

A lace dress is great for many occasions. This look would look great with dark tights and pointed pumps for a dressier occasion or even a work event!

As always… Happy shopping.

Easy breezy with a romper obsession…

While it’s winter everywhere else,¬† here in south Florida its still about 85 degrees. That calls for easy looks that are weather appropriate. I am obsessed with this romper by Elan available at lilac and lilies boutique.¬† It’s also available in other colors from Nordstrom and I’ve found an identical match under $40 from Target¬†(only available in black).

I decided to add a leather wrap around belt to create some dimension. Here’s a link to one very similar from Amazon, it’s available in a ton of colors and style mostly under $15.

I love a good straw hat for beach days, going out to lunch with friends, brunching, or any other time you wanna keep the sun out of your face Here’s a similar hat from Target¬†and its under $15.

Whenever I do off the shoulder I try and pair it with a statement necklace.¬† This particular necklace is by Kendra Scott and is a bit pricier. I’ve linked it here and here’s one by Bauble Bar available at Nordstrom. Here’s another crystal bib available at DSW, and here’s a fun one from Target..

This is a great look for going on vacation too! How many of you have a tripped planned to a tropical paradise and don’t know what to pack? Let me know… I’m here to help!

Can we talk about how cool this car is?¬†While at Ft.Lauderdalee¬†beach shooting this look I saw this amazing car pull up and asked the owner if he wouldn’t mind me taking a picture next to it. He said, “I’ll give ya better, hop in and take all the pictures ya want!” It was pretty fun and I’m happy to have seen something¬†so different. Made me feel like I was in the movie Grease (please say you see the resemblance)!

Happy Romper Wearing

Keepin it cool in Ft. Lauderdale…

Let’s talk “winter” fashion while living in south Florida when its 86 degrees¬†in December… it doesn’t¬†happen. We do our best to wear what we can but let’s be honest, I’m not going to put on my cute over the knee boots and sweater when the sun is shining bright¬†and the sweat is happening.¬† Soooo trying to think of ways to have an all year look is what I’m working on.

My whole look is available¬†at¬†lilac and lilies boutique, but don’t worry I’ve linked others.

Studded denim¬†is go-to for me. I feel like it takes a classic jeans¬† & T-shirt look and amps it up to another level. The 5th grade bedazzler¬†in me is sooooo¬†happy this trend is making a come back. These jeans are by BlankNYC (my all time fave) and are linked directly here.¬† I’ve found some other affordable options too!

Macy’s use code JOY for extra 20% off

H&M under $60

I went with a longer cropped¬†bell sleeve top that I love (and you will see a lot)! Its available at¬†lilac and lilies boutique, but you can also get it here (Lulus under $60)¬†also at Nordstrom¬†and similar here (Target under $15)!¬†It’s by Lost + Wander and is super comfy and not too thin. I’m wearing a small for reference.

My loafers are Franco Sarto and have been on the blog before. They’re¬†great and can be worn with slacks for work, a skirt, denim like¬†this or even cute with shorts!

They’re¬†from DSW and under $50, I’ve linked them here. Here’s a similar pair¬†from Target (under $20)!

And I’ve found similar rancher Hat’s… here and here.

Is anyone else super excited that studded and embroidered denim is trending?!

I look forward to wearing studded denim in other ways and can’t wait to bring you guys more looks.

Stay Warm…

Holiday look 2…

Hey Guys,

It’s a cold morning here in Florida and I’m loving it! I miss winter in NY and look forward to any chance I get to wear boots and a comfy sweater. ūüôā This holiday look I am showing can be transitioned for colder weather too, simply add tights, booties, and a pashmina and you are all set!

I think an elegant dress for the holidays is always a classic look. I originally purchased this dress for a wedding josh and I had in October and last minute changed my mind, however, I do think this is a great wedding dress, too!

velvet slip dress,   or Asos silver pleated dress,   or green velvet Target,   or lace midi Nordstrom

Above are links to similar dresses that I love for the holidays that are all affordable. I got my dress from Abercrombie during their last 50% off sale and this exact one is no longer available.

When you have a simple dress like this, I always like to add a statement earring to help create more dimension (more of a completed look). Sure, simple stud earring will work too, but I love a statement earring- especially for the holidays. Here are two similar options to the earring I am wearing…¬†teal earrings¬†or¬†navy earrings

You can pair this dress with black heels and it will still look great. I chose nude because I wanted a chunkier heel and I did not want my show to be a focus. My pair are older Steve Madden, but I linked similar pairs here: blush velvet block heels or  nude leather heel.

Most people feel you need to have a clutch when styling this dress, but I like to add a crossbody that has some metal to it. This particular crossbody is by All Saints in bronze, but I found a more affordable option in gold that I think would look great with this look as well.

gold crossbody

Adding a dark lip color really completes the look. I love to be bold with lip colors and feel a Bordeaux color like the one I am wearing here (by Clinique in grandest grape) helps add the finishing touch to this look. I wish I could braid ’cause a beautiful fish tail braid would add a lot to this look.

Happy holiday parties and good luck with all the holiday shopping!
