Let me start by saying my swimsuit obsession runs deep. I always use the “I live in FL” excuse for buying a ton of swimsuits each summer, but honestly it’s just because they’re fun and in my opinion you can never have too many. Swimsuits for me go with my mood… and I think there’s a different suit for different occasions.
I was fortunate to attend a couple shows during swim week and I made a highlight of my favorites and wanted to share them here with you!
Akosha is a designer I haven’t seen before based out of Ft. Lauderdale and handmade in Miami. The suits were fun, playful, and sexy. They don’t offer too many on sale, but the fun flamingo one piece is available and under $200.
Another great designer is Paramidonna
I really loved the color blocking black and white suit and the subtle details of the ruffles on the suits. I love that high waisted are on trend right now. Paramidonna offered a couple high waisted options.
And now for my absolute favorite…
I’ve loved Ali’s designs since she was making them and selling out of her apartment . I knew they’d be all the rage. She uses great patters and high quality fabric! Montce brings versatile style to swim wear. High waisted, crop top, one piece, ruffles, and extra cheeky!! The suits are always sexy, but in a classy way.
You can find fun accessories including kimonos, jewelry, and fun beach wear. There are two locations one in ft. Lauderdale and another in LA. If you don’t live close don’t worry, all suits are available online!!
I can’t wait to pick up some new suits before the summers end!
Anyone in the Ft. Lauderdale area interested in help picking out some suits at Montce I’d be happy to meet you at the shop for personal shopping assistance!!
It’s Saturday and it feels so good!! Currently still in my PJ’s sipping a matcha latte browsing some online sales! The day is off to a great start… I’ve rounded up this week IG faves for you.
This Hermes perfume is my favorite. I got it for Christmas and constantly get compliments when I wear it. It has a subtle tuberose scent which is clean and floral. It lasts allllllll day! It also helps that the bottle is beautiful and looks great on my dresser to display!
Okay, I am the first to say I don’t really drink coffee. I am sensitive to the caffeine so I am typically a tea girl, but I love the taste of coffee. Go figure. We got a Nespresso machine a while back because Josh was doing two a day Starbucks runs and I freaked. LOL. One day while at the Nespresso Cafe in Bloomingdale’s I tried their decaf and was hooked. I like to have a cup on the weekends and will have either the decaf espresso or coffee. OUr machine is an older version but I found a similar one that features both coffee and espresso pods on sale for an incredible price here. We have the milk frother and I use it all the time. It’s fun to make lattes and fancy cups right from home. The best part each cup costs only $1.10!!
The picture does not do this yummy meal justice. I’ll admit I really need to work on my food photography, but man was this Stuffed Eggplant Parm phenomenal. Even Josh agreed! I love traditional eggplant parm, but with the breading and frying those calories add up. That’s why I’m so happy Skinny Taste featured this recipe! I used traditional eggplant and spicy chicken sausage from whole foods and it was great. Don’t forget to puncture the eggplant otherwise it will get watery, I made this mistake. Whoops!
This awesome knot front dress was featured this week on the blog and I wanted to share a roundup of some more of my fave quick summer dresses I found.
Here are some links all under $50!
Target Asymmetric Dress
American Eagle shift dress
Abercrombie Midi Cotton Dress
Nordstrom summer dress
Happy Shopping Friends!!
Man, today got the best of me. I’ve been frantically calling restaurants to try and get something locked down for our rehearsal dinner and as of now, no luck! 😦 Got some more calls to do, but decided to take a fun break and get this awesome dress up on the blog.
I can’t say enough how much I love this dress. It’s flattering with the tie front knot and great for summer! It’s great for work and after… I have to admit I’ve already worn it to work, a happy hour, and lunch with friends! Its funny, I have a tendency to gravitate to the same 3 things when I like them.
This dress is super affordable right now and selling out fast! It’s under $15 on super clearance from Abercrombie so shop it fast! The Knot front dress runs TTS and washes well.
It comes in three colors, I have to confess I just ordered it again in the olive green too.

I wore chunky lace-up heels here, but have worn this with some fun Adidas throwback sneaks which also looked cute! You can have a lot of fun with this look.
Enjoy your Tuesday and as always… happy shopping.
I am working on bringing back Friday favorites post. I’ll try and get better at actually getting them up on a Friday! I’ve posted a couple pics of some of my favorite things on Instagram all week and will add them all to this post with links on where to buy. I think this will be a fun way of showing more content throughout the week instead of waiting for each blog post. Let me know what you think?!?!?
Smith and Cult polish This was introduced to me by a blogger I have been following and loving, Visions of Vogue. She does a phenomenal job at bringing safer beauty products (along with fashion and travel). I have been working hard to slowly cut out the chemical in the house and have not realized how bad nail polish is. I try and bring my own polish to the salon with me when I go, cause I’ve learned the polish is one of the most germ containing thing in the salon!! Yikes!! I never thought about all the chemicals in polish. Smith and Cult are 9free which means it’s Dibutyl phthalate-free; toluene-free; formaldehyde-free; formaldehyde resin-free; camphor-free; ethyl tosylamide-free; xylene-free; triphenyl phosphate-free! It’s the winner of Allure magazine’s ‘Best of Beauty’ award for Best Sheer Neutral Nail Polish shade Ghost and made in the USA! I ordered mine from Nordstrom and have become addicted. It’s a beautiful bottle and great to display. My polish lasted one week chip free!
I cannot rave enough about these Steven by Steve Madden Grady sandals. I scored them at DSW which is having a 20% off sale until 7/10 with code YAYDAYS!! Plus a free tote with purchase too! Code YAYTOTES!! I just ordered another color too. They are similar to the Steven by Steve Madden greece slides that go for $90. Great thing is this pair is affordable for under $50!!
This fun American Flag One Piece is from Target and under $40!! It runs small so order a size up… it’s cheeky but perfect for summer parties and BBQ’s! I also scored these cute Sugarfix earrings for only $12.99. They are a bit heavier and take some getting used to if you’re not used to wearing heavier dangle earrings.
Uncle Vals Gin! I am a gin lover and share this love with my sis in law. She and I both share a love for “salad” type cocktails! Uncle Vals is a botanical gin that is so smooth its dangerous. You can get it a Total Wine. This fun summer cocktail i created is easy to amke and delish!
- muddle 3-4 whole strawberries
- add an ounce of fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbs of simple syrup (or agave nectar)
- 2 oz of gin
- shake with ice, strain and serve garnished with a strawberry. I sometimes add a splash of prosecco for some yummy bubbles!!
Thats this weeks roundup… working on some more fun favorites for you next week!
Happy Friday!! I really needed a weekend come up… this wedding planning has gotten cray real fast! I’ve got this super affordable causal look for summer ready to go. I’ve had this peplum tank. It’s on sale for only $10 and comes in a couple colors. I bought the lilac one shown here and the gray and white stripe. This tank is comfortable and the peplum detailing adds a little more to make it feel like more of an outfit.
These cute white denim shorts are also on sale for under $30. I love that they are mid rise and not to short. They’re a great length for the over 20′ something age and still not quite ready for “mom” shorts!
This look will keep you cool for summer and easy for running errands, lunch with friends, or in my case a quick daytime happy hour!
This girl needs a tan… and I plan on working on that this weekend!
Talk about a hectic Tuesday… Doak (preserve street pup) had some rough play at doggie camp and I had to leave work early, rush him to the vet, and he had to get 10 staples! Luckily he was a braver pup than I was a dog mom and it didn’t seem to bother him one bit. I on the other hand- total freak out mode.
On a positive note, in two weeks he will be back as good as new and I got some time to get a post up!! just in time too 🙂
This amazing jumpsuit is currently sold out in this navy color, but luckily its still available in all sizes in the black version and under $30! I’ve liked it here for you.
I wore this to a friend bridal shower and was super comfortable all day! It runs TTS ( i’m wearing a small). I’d recommend some fabric tape because its a no bra look and could use some security on the side just in case. I didn’t bother and was self-conscious of the side boob showing!
My hat is a staple and fave of mine, older from Hat Attack. I’m sure you all have seen it a lot on the blog. I’ve linked a similar version here.
My sunnies are Ray-Ban linked here! My shoes are Steve Madden older can’t find them online anymore. But I found a similar very affordable pair from Target!! Linked them here ….perfect for summer!

This navy midi skirt is a must. I was scrolling through insta the other day when a forever 21 add popped up… I was going to pass it by thinking I had outgrown the store but man am I happy this skirt caught my eye. It’s part of there contemporary line. So many amazing affordable pieces. I’ve linked my skirt and shirt below… best part this whole look is under $30 on sale!
Pleated Polka Dot Skirt
Double Strap Cami
I love the flow of this skirt. Flattering for any body type and a versatile piece. You can add a white blazer and nude pumps and head to work (great for drinks after), wear how. I’ve shown it for a wedding festivity, throw on a graphic tee and sneaks for a fun casual look, or flats and a denim jacket with cotton tank for a lunch meet up. The options are endless!
I decided to go classic and vintage with some pearl bracelets and a big pair of navy shades! I’ve linked my bracelet below (I’m wearing 2 and a thinner one) and similar sunnies!
If you haven’t gotten into the midi skirt trend… there’s no time better to start then now! And if you’ve given up in forever21 give their site another look. I ordered a bulk order got a ton of great looks for under $200!! Don’t worry I’ll share them all here on the blog 😉.
Happy almost Friday!
